My background as a kindergarten teacher laid the foundation for how I approach instructional design. Observing first-hand how learners respond to learning experiences that are hands-on, relevant, and thoughtfully designed showed me that learning works best when it feels approachable and meaningful. That mindset continues to guide me as I design experiences that encourage reflection, build confidence, and support real-world application.
After ten years in the classroom, I was ready for a new challenge and transitioned into corporate training, where I put these skills into practice simplifying complex content and presenting it in engaging, creative ways that help adult learners succeed. I have recently moved into a curriculum design role, where I create impactful eLearning experiences using a variety of authoring tools. A life-long learner, I thrive in collaborative environments and am always exploring new ways to grow and improve as a designer.
When I am not creating learning experiences, I enjoy traveling to new places, running on trails, exploring with my pup, June, and spending time in nature. I have been fortunate to visit many countries and even spent a year living and teaching in Vietnam!
